We also offer Extension services for all hair types (consultation required).We specialize in curly hair, but love all textures from straight to super coily. We are so excited to be open and to be able to provide you with a service that some of you have waited a long time for. As the weeks progress, we are getting increasingly booked and busy due to high demand. I wanted to take a moment to ask you to please be patient with us. We know our calendar is full and that finding an appointment can be difficult, but please remember that our top priority is providing quality service so that you love your new cut, color, or style.
When booking your appointment, please be mindful of the estimated time needed to complete a service. We know it would be more convenient to squeeze in more appointments, but ultimately that would take away from everyone's experience. We continue to try our best to take as many appointments as possible without compromising our art. If you are currently looking for an appointment and can't find one, you may call to be added to our waiting list. If a customer cancels, we will contact people on the waiting list in the order the reservation was taken. We thank you for your continued support and patience. All we want is for you to be happy with your service and to truly experience the attention and care that The Classic Curl Salon has to offer.
**If you are ill please call your stylist to reschedule or call the salon. If it is less than our 48-hour cancellation policy please understand you may be charged the cancellation fee as it is difficult to fill a spot in that amount of time. BEFORE PREP & CANCELLATION POLICY
Ensuring the Best Experience
If this is your first time to our salon and you are coming in for a dry curly cut please come in with the following done:
- Your hair needs to be down if it is pulled back at all we cannot see the natural curl pattern
- Your hair needs to be dry and clean. You can have product in it if you feel that best show cases how your curls are day-to-day.
- Please have your hair detangled. We reserve a certain amount of time for this service if your service goes over the allotted time due to length of hair or detangling time there will be an hourly fee charged.
Your appointment will start out with a thourough assessment of your hair. We will consult about your routine, products and your goals. Pictures of styles you like and don't like are always appreciated. We will then begin the cut on dry hair. Once the initial cutting is done we will then take you over to the bowl where we will go through each product and how to use it so you can get the best out of your curls. We will then take you back to the chair and the stylist will go over the best drying technique for your hair. Once completely dry we will do any finishing work and go over refresh instructions.
Please Note that if this is your first time receiving a Dry Curly cut with us that it will take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours depending on your needs.
If you have received a Curly Cut from another stylist you will still need to book a first time client curly cut service as it will be our first time assessing your hair.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We require 48 hours if you need to cancel your appointment. If you are unable to give 48 hours, 50% - 100% of the service will be charged, depending on the stylist, to the card on file. Our "No show" policy is, if you want to rebook an appointment after a "no show" a credit card will be required in order to book the appointment as well as the previous 50%-100% missed appointment charge.

PARKING
There is street parking available as well as two parking garages and a large lot located off of Scott and Sutter Street in the brick building on the corner. *Please note that Thursday through Saturday, parking can be very difficult as it can get very busy on our street. Please park in one of the garages or back parking lot. We are sorry for the inconvenience.*

She is a master stylist and head in salon educator at her original salon location she still owns and operates part time (hype salon in oakland). She is extremely well versed in all hair textures. Specializing in specifically tailored haircuts and colors for every hair type. She is warm and welcoming and believes strongly in authenticity and being non judgmental. *All final pricing is given after initial consultation. The following prices are starting prices. Prices will vary depending on stylist, appointment needs, and length of appointment. Stylist reserves the right to give flat rate or hourly rate depending on the needs of the client. All options will be discussed before start of service*
We use O&M Color. This line of color is conscious of its ingredients in terms of allergens and toxicity, being free of some of the top offending ingredients in most color lines such as; ammonia, PPD and resorcinol to name a few.

The Answers to the Most Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY DRY CURLY CUT?
When you come in you will be greeted and escorted to your stylists chair. You and your stylist will discuss in depth about your hair goals, things you like, things you don't like, any pictures you brought and generally what will happen during the appointment. After the consult the dry cut will begin. Once the cut is done you will be escorted to the shampoo bowl. The stylist will go over the products and how they are used. Once the wash and style is done you will head back to the chair for stylist product application and then drying whether by diffuser , overhead dryer, or both. Once the hair is dry there will be finishing work and then any closing conversations.
WHY ISN'T THERE DETAILED PRICING? AND WHAT WILL MY SERVICE COST?
Everything we do is customized for you, therefore it is hard to give an exact price before meeting you and your hair. We give a broad spectrum of pricing based on our experience. Please ask your stylist at the beginning of the service to give you an exact detailed price. Please do not hesitate to have them break it down for you. It is your hair, you deserve to know how everything is broken down. We also ask for you to keep in mind our stylists are brining extensive experience to you that most stylists do not receive, since we primarily work exclusively on curly hair. We take extra classes so that we can give you the very best of us. We do charge as such. Also please note that some of our stylists are renters and have their own business. Therefore they make their own hours and pricing.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS AND WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE?
At this time we do not have a front desk person. We schedule everything ourselves. Some of our stylists are renters and own their own business so they do their own pricing and scheduling. We do check our messages periodically throughout the day and will do our best to get back same day or next day. It is hard to have set hours given that all of your stylists make their own hours. For the most part there will always be someone at the salon, however feel free to call or email if you are looking to come in for a specific time. We can be flexible and make things work for you.
